Thank the good Lord that it’s Saturday. I love Saturday mornings. The only thing that could’ve made my Saturday morning better (realistically), would have been a cup of coffee. I am completely out of coffee.
So this past week I have been watching the newest season of “The Great British Baking Show” on Netflix (whenever I could get away with it), and I was since inspired to get in the kitchen!
I love to cook, I love to bake, and I love to make new things for my family to eat. So like any modern domesticish woman, I went to Pinterest. I have a board full of recipes that I haven’t tried yet, most of which I have pinned with at least some intention of actually attempting, so I didn’t search for anything new, I just browsed my extremely well organized (if I do say so myself) board and it’s sub categories.
Here is what I decided to make!
The pancakes were just okay. I will definitely use this as a base recipe in the future, but overall I think they needed more flavor. A bit of blueberry, some brown sugar, and an extra dash or two of cinnamon and I think we’ll be set!
I’ve used this recipe many times before today, but it is my absolute favorite quiche. I haven’t made it in over a year, so I am truly looking forward to this lunch. Yum! (My husband prefers a veggie quiche, however, you snooze you loose!)
The black bean soup has only just been put into the crock pot but it smells soooooo good. It’s ridiculous how great it smells.
To be determined 😉
As always, thanks for reading and feel free to follow my journey/life on Instagram.
